Go Ye Therefore

Because we love God, our purpose is to go into all the earth. Missions is not what we do, it is who we are.   Jackson First Baptist is involved in a wide variety of missions in an even wider variety of places.  No matter where, all have one purpose and that is to make disciples.

If you would like to contribute to any of these missions, you can do that online.  Designate the contribution to Other and write which mission or missionary you would like to support in the Comment box.  Thank you for your support, whether it is financial, through prayer, or being 'boots on the ground."

MALAWI, AFRICA

In 2014, JFBC began a partnership with Hope for the Future to reach Malawi with the Gospel. Our mission strategy has always been to come alongside mission partners to reach the unreached in the world. In Malawi, we have partnered to either plant or come along side 58 churches. Each year we host pastor’s conferences as well as monthly meetings to grow each pastor.

We have partnered to create and support the Tom Gentry Bible Training Center. Through this training, we spend one year with 16 students to train them to plant and reach villages all over Africa. As of 2023, we have trained over 60 pastors. Each year our teams travel to train and support these pastors and churches. We also partner to care for over 200 children through two orphanage feeding centers and by sending over 130 students to school.

We send multiple teams throughout the year to do children's camps, Bible clubs, building churches, and sharing the Gospel in many other ways. Join us in Malawi to reach the unreached.

ROMANIA

JFBC is also working with Hope For The Future in Sighetu Marmatiei, Romania.  Construction teams are working to restore the camp area, and mission teams go to help lead summer camps for High School and College students there.  Bible clubs are held for young gypsy children living in the area.  Each year, we travel to Romania in the summer to help lead in camps.

During the Russian invasion of Ukraine, this camp was used to house refugees and send aid into the Ukraine.

KENYA

JFBC ministers alongside All For God Ministries and Kenyan missionaries who are working in Lomut, Kenya and beyond. Michael and Kellie Medlin lead this growing ministry as churches are being planted throughout Kenya. This wonderful ministry has now built a clinic with the goal of ongoing ministry. Each year, we send a team to partner with them as well as supporting the ongoing work monthly.  Join us in Kenya in 2024.

STEP FORWARD GLOBAL MISSIONS

JFBC has come along side this wonderful ministry in the Middle East and North Africa for the purpose of empowering the persecuted church through leadership conferences, evangelism courses, discipleship training, partnership with national workers, and outreach to refugees. Each year, our pastor is blessed to teach and serve in this ministry. In 2024, we will be a part of two conferences in the Middle East. Join us as we financially and physically support Step Forward in 2024.

WYCLIFFE BIBLE TRANSLATORS

JFBC partners with local missionary, Kim Nelson, to support the ongoing needs of missionaries who take the Gospel around the world. Currently Kim remotely teaches the students of families who serve abroad. It is our joy to spiritually and financially support this great work.

IMB OF THE SOUTHERN BAPTIST CONVENTION

JFBC partners with the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention to reach the unreached people groups of the world. Each month we give 1% of our undesignated gifts to partner with over 5,000 missionaries that globally take the Gospel to the nations.

NATIONAL MISSIONS

JFBC is committed to planting churches in North America.  We currently have three church plants: Illinois, California, and Georgia. In 2024, we are planning to launch a new church plant in Atlanta through the North American Mission Board.

TRUETT MCCONNELL UNIVERSITY

JFBC has entered into a partnership with TMU through the Georgia Baptist Convention to support the training of young champions for Christ. Currently we give 1% of our undesignated gifts to support the ongoing work of the university. Also, we have established a scholarship for JFBC students and Pastor Keith serves as a trustee for TMU.

JACKSON

Above everything else, we believe that God has called us to be on mission at home. Each week, JFBC is engaged in many different mission opportunities:

The Hand N Hand Food Pantry ministry distributes food each month to those in our county who have fallen on hard times and need food for both the body and soul.

JFBC actively supports the Butts County Pregnancy Center and their work saving babies and supporting mothers.

Each summer, a team makes lunches to provide meals for students through the Loving Lunches program.

We are a presence in our Local Schools through FCA, Teacher appreciation meals, reading programs, and open gym opportunities for students.

Each week, our JFBC After School Care Program reaches the lives of our elementary age children in Butts County through homework help, music, games, meals, missions, and the consistent sharing of the Gospel.

JFBC partners with local churches through our Butts County Ministers Association to touch the lives of many people through collaboration in a Gospel focus. Each year, we have two community services as well as partnering in other evangelistic opportunities.
